How long does it take for grief to subside? One year? Two? Three?? It’s an age-old question to which there is no correct answer.
This week, one of our widows sent a text to say how sad she was feeling as the third anniversary of her husband’s death was approaching. When we spoke, she told me how most people said year one was the worst to get through, but she and I both felt year three was the culprit. Why? The realization that this is permanent, he is never coming back, this awareness brings us to our knees with grief.
How do we alter this feeling? Give us some feedback, help us to heal.
