Typical signs of the season. I’m in a hurry, I’m not finished shopping, so much more to do, up till two and three in the morning, All of these phrases, take the ‘Reason out of the Season “ …..The birth of the baby Jesus! How do we do it? How do we slow down and celebrate secular Christmas with Santa and the birth of Jesus?
One suggestion might be to focus on fewer, activities. Another suggestion could be to concentrate on quiet traditions like reading by the tree, baking cookies, or evening walks to see lights. Next thing I’m going to try to do is not over-schedule activities , and try to turn gift-giving into something from the heart, like homemade treats. Finally enjoy moments of quiet every day to reflect on our own involvement in the season ….. Let’s try it !!! Merry Christmas
