Thursday I left for Chicago to spend 12 days with my daughter and her family. I was filled with excitement to celebrate the holidays with my Chicago family, yet something felt off. Leaving my son and his family left me saddened. It’s difficult to separate a family, brother and sister, cousins yet it must be done…. One family cannot be the only one to travel. It’s easier for Grandma to go !! 😂. Off I go happily to visit my Chicago contingent, knowing it’s the best decision, yet feeling a twinge of sadness because we are not all together …..
