My friend sent me a reading today about grief. The reading spoke about facing holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, all occasions, without his wife. The worry, hurt, facing the unknown, the grief, without her by his side. Joyous occasions that felt doomed before they even happened. But as he read on, he realized that by turning his despair over to God and placing his faith in the plan that God laid out for him, he was able to face these difficult situations without despair. A smile crept over his face because hope replaced doubt and fear. Whether you believe in a greater spirit, God, Yahweh, Allah, putting our faith in the higher spirit that has a plan for us makes it easier to accept the unknown, because HE has a plan for our lives.
