Roxie is my dog. Two weeks ago, she stopped eating and was listless, not herself. I took her to the vet, and she had an X-ray. No blockage. She had bloodwork done. The vet didn’t like the results, which were taken from the jugular. I had never heard of that. They say the results are better. Well, they decided to repeat bloodwork this time from her leg and got the same results. Something is not right with the red blood cells. The vet wanted to do a steroid regimen that would have her urinating a lot (all over the house), lethargic, and not sure it would fix the problem. Why put her through that? The side effects outweigh the benefits. So, we went for a second opinion. Same results. Fast forward, and Roxie is doing fine so far. Roxie is 14. Prayers are welcome. It has been a very scary two weeks. I’m sure other dog lovers understand. She’s NOT just a dog. ❤️❤️
