I spent twelve days with my daughter and her family for Christmas. Mathew ‘s family also was invited, mom, dad, and Brinley. I haven’t seen them for about 10 yrs. Somehow with family there was that instant connection, and we had a wonderful week. The cooking was phenomenal. Matt and Lauren had a 50s menu for Christmas Eve, that took us straight back to Ozzie and Harriet. Châteaubriand , a noodle Kugle, three bean salad, and ambrosia….. pineapple upside down cake for dessert! And the meals continued like that for the entire week. The merriment, the games, Cirque du Soleil, a night before Christmas, an escaperoom, a walk through the neighborhood to see the lights were just a few of the things we did . Gifts galore, but more importantly was the love that was felt amongst the group. Saturday the first contingent left for New Hampshire. Laughter, joy, contentment, peace, and tears all happening at the same time. That’s what the holidays are all about …… Merry Christmas
