Travel is not for the faint of heart! Whether it is domestic or abroad, it takes fortitude and stamina. I recently traveled to Tuscany to cook with a Michelin Star chef. The trip was about 12 hours, actual travel time, but many more hours of sitting and waiting anxiously through delays and layovers. It was a 2-hour trip from Rome to the Tuscan countryside of Cortona, where the Il Falconiere, cooking under the Tuscan sun experience was. As we drove up the narrow roadway and entered a panorama of exquisite gardens, the family-owned hotel, operated by our Michelin Chef Silvia Baracchi, my eyes rested upon one of the most picturesque sights I have ever seen. Each day was better than the last! So now I say, was it worth all the disappointments of travel?
ABSOLUTELY, and I would do it again for the educational cooking experience, meeting Silvia and many other wonderful people, and enriching my life!
Love this. Enjoy the rest of your experience. See you soon.
